“Books are a uniquely portable magic.”

― Stephen King

“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.  It is the source of all true art and science.”

― Albert Einstein

I’m Keely.  40-ish fan of things found in book jackets and of things done in lab coats.  Both subjects are rife with creativity, filled with wonder and force us to think deeply, ask questions and make discoveries.  Most importantly, I cannot imagine my life without either of them.

After several careers, I finally decided what I wanted to do most is teach.  Teach and hope to inspire if not a love of, but an interest in books and writing and in science and discovery.  Encourage kids to pick up that tattered book or to look at the stars and wonder what might lie in the spaces between them and us and most of all, get to spend my days immersed in what I love.

Join me here, for bits of literature, bits of science, bits of teaching and bits of things that tie them all together.
